✮ Descriere ::Cu doisprezece ani în urmă, Bestia Cu Nouă Cozi ce reprezenta o vulpe atacă satul ninja Konohagakure (cunoscut drept Konoha sau Satul Ascuns între Frunze). Destul de puternic pentru a provoca tsunami și a nivela munții cu o rotire a cozii sale, instaurează haosul și măcelărește mulți oameni, până când liderul satului Konoha – al Patrulea Hokage – își sacrifică propria viață pentru a sigila vulpea în corpul nou-născutului Naruto. Al Patrulea Hokage, care a fost sărbătorit ca erou pentru sigilarea demonului, dorea ca Naruto să aibă parte de același respect din partea lor fiind "recipientul" în care demonului Vulpe este sigilat. Cu toate acestea, satul Konoha îl evită, privindu-l pe Naruto ca pe însuși demonul și tratându-l necorespunzător de-a lungul copilăriei sale. Al Treilea Hokage decretează ca nimeni să nu dezvăluie nimănui despre atacul Vulpii, nici măcar propriilor copii. Totuși, acest lucru nu i-a oprit să îl trateze ca pe un proscris, Naruto crescând orfan, fără prieteni și fără a fi recunoscut. Nu putea forța oamenii să se împrietenească cu el, atrăgând atenția asupra sa în modul lui propriu: farse și pozne. On October 29, 2015, the series' official Twitter announced that My Hero Academia would receive an anime adaptation produced by Studio Bones.[20][21] With the anime announced, Toho registered the domain name "heroaca.com" as the anime's website.[21] The anime is directed by Kenji Nagasaki, written by Yōsuke Kuroda, and feature character designs by Yoshikiko Umakoshi and music composed by Yuki Hayashi.[22][23] The anime premiered on MBS and other Japan News Network stations in the Nichigo time slot at 5 P.M. on Sundays in Japan.[24] The opening theme is "The Day", performed by Graffitti and the ending theme is "Heroes", performed by Brian the Sun.[25]

In March 2016, Funimation announced they had licensed the international rights for streaming services, home and broadcast release, and the merchandise rights.[26][27] Universal Pictures UK distributed the first season in the United Kingdom and Ireland on behalf of Funimation,[28] with Sony Pictures UK distributing the second season for Funimation,[29] and Manga Entertainment distributing subsequent seasons for Funimation.[30] In Australia and New Zealand, Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment distributed the first two seasons, on behalf of Funimation,[31] with Madman Entertainment distributing season 3 onwards, in partnership with Funimation.[32]

A second season was announced in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine's 30th issue of 2016.[11] It premiered on April 1, 2017 on NTV and YTV,[33] and ended on September 30, 2017, with the staff and cast from the first season returning to reprise their roles.[34] The first opening theme is "Peace Sign" (ピースサイン) performed by Kenshi Yonezu and the first ending theme is "Dakara, Hitori ja nai" (だから、ひとりじゃない lit. Therefore, I am not Alone), performed by Little Glee Monster.[35] The second opening theme is "Sora ni Utaeba" (空に歌えば lit. If I Sing to the Sky) performed by amazarashi[36] and the ending theme is "Datte Atashi no Hīrō" (だってアタシのヒーロー lit. Still My Hero) by LiSA.[37]

A third season was announced in the 44th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine of 2017.[38][39] The English dub premiered on April 7, 2018.[40] The first opening theme is "Odd Future" by Uverworld, while the first ending theme is "Update" (アップデート) by Miwa. The second opening theme is "Make my Story" by Lenny Code Fiction and the second ending theme is "Long Hope Philia" (ロングホープ・フィリア) by Masaki Suda.[41]

On April 19, 2018, Funimation announced that the series would air on Cartoon Network's Toonami starting on May 5.[42]

A fourth season was announced in the 44th issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine of 2018.[43] This was later confirmed with the airing of the final episode to season three on September 29, 2018.[44] On December 19, 2018, the My Hero Academia website confirmed a release date of October 12, 2019, along with a key visual.[45][46] Funimation will premiere the first episode of the fourth season at Anime Expo on July 6, 2019.[47] Kenji Nagasaki is serving as chief director of the fourth season, with Masahiro Mukai becoming director.[48]

Before the series' narrative begins, he accidentally and unknowingly kills Gohan on a full-moon night when he temporarily transforms into the mighty Ōzaru after staring at a full moon. However, Goku loses the ability when his friends cut off his tail.[39] Living alone with an item known as a Dragon Ball which he keeps as a memento of Gohan, Goku befriends a teenage girl named Bulma. He joins her to find the seven Dragon Balls, which, when gathered, summon the wish-granting dragon Shenron. They encounter the desert bandit Yamcha and two shapeshifters named Oolong and Puar, who also join their quest. Goku is later trained by the martial artist Master Roshi, alongside a Shaolin monk named Krillin, who becomes his best friend. It is Roshi who gives Goku the Nimbus cloud (as a reward for saving his pet sea turtle), which becomes Goku's primary source of flight travel across the world. Goku's first shown martial arts attack as a child is Jan ken (ジャン拳), three physical blows modeled after the hand signs in rock-paper-scissors.[40] As a child, he also wields the Nyoi-bō (如意棒, lit. "Mind Stick", renamed "Power Pole" in Funimation's dub), a magic staff that extends and retracts on command; given to him by his late grandfather.[41] However, Goku's signature attack is the Kamehameha, which he learned from Master Roshi.[42] The Kamehameha is a concentration of Ki, released as a concussive beam. Roshi spent about 50 years developing and perfecting the technique, but, as a child, Goku is able to understand and copy the technique immediately after only one demonstration. After training with the Earth's god, Kami, Goku learns to fly by virtue of the technique Bukū-jutsu (舞空術, lit. "Air Dance Technique") and uses the Nimbus less frequently for flight travel. While participating in the World Martial Arts Tournament that attracts the most powerful fighters in the world, Goku battles foes, later turned allies, such as Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu, as well as the Namekian Piccolo. After becoming the runner-up champion of the 21st and 22nd tournaments, Goku finally wins in the 23rd with Piccolo's defeat, and marries Chi-Chi soon after to fulfill a promise he made to her years ago despite not knowing what marriage was back then.

Ten years later, during another World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku meets Uub, Buu's human reincarnation, and leaves with him, intending to train him as the new protector of Earth.[50]

After defeating Majin Buu, Goku meets a new opponent known as Beerus, the God of Destruction in the film Battle of Gods. An alternative, more innately powerful form known as the Super Saiyan God (超スーパーサイヤ人ゴッド Sūpā Saiya-jin Goddo) is reached by Goku during this film. Though the temporary transformation wears off, Goku manages to harness its godly powers in his base Super Saiyan form. In its sequel film Resurrection 'F', Goku manages to achieve a blue-haired evolution of Super Saiyan God under Whis's tutelage, known as the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan (超スーパーサイヤ人ゴッドSSスーパーサイヤ人 Sūpā Saiya-jin Goddo Sūpā Saiya-jin) or "Super Saiyan Blue" for short, which Goku uses to battle the newly revived Freeza.[51] These forms also appear in Dragon Ball Super and its manga tie-in, which expand upon the stories from the two films, and replace them as the new canon.

Afterwards, Goku and his friends participate in a fighting tournament set between Beerus and his brother Champa, facing warriors from the universe Champa oversees as its God of Destruction. During this tournament, Goku reveals that he has learned to combine the perfect ki control of his Super Saiyan Blue form with his older technique, the Kaiō-ken; creating a variation called "Super Saiyan Blue Kaiō-ken". Although Goku gives up after fighting his opponent, Hit, his team ends up winning the tournament. After meeting with the omnipotent being known as Zeno, Goku encounters an evil alternate version of himself called "Goku Black", who is terrorizing Future Trunks' timeline. Black is eventually revealed to be a rogue Kai named Zamasu, who has stolen Goku's body from yet another alternate timeline and teamed up with the Zamasu of Future Trunks' timeline to fulfill their "Zero Mortals Plan". After Zamasu and Black become even more dangerous by undergoing Potara Fusion during the battle in Future Trunks' timeline, Goku ultimately summons the future version of Zeno who erases the entire universe and Zamasu. Goku and the others present there manage to escape in their time machine, and later Goku and Future Trunks use the time machine again to bring Future Zeno to the present timeline.

Later, Goku requests Whis to hire Hit to assassinate himself, but his reasoning behind this is to get another chance to fight Hit. Shortly afterwards, Goku causes the Zenos to decide to hold a multi-universal martial arts tournament with the losing universes wiped from existence. He encounters Universe 11's warrior Toppo and fights him to a draw, only for Toppo to reveal that his universe houses a vastly more powerful warrior named Jiren. After enlisting nine of his allies to fight alongside him in the "Tournament of Power", Goku ends up recruiting Freeza as well.[52] Across the tournament, Goku teams up with Vegeta to eliminate Universe 9, and fights several other warriors before finally battling Jiren. Jiren overwhelms him, causing Goku to use the Spirit Bomb. The Spirit Bomb is pushed back, nearly killing Goku, but he emerges from the explosion in the state known as Ultra Instinct, which besides boosting his power immensely, grants him the ability to move without thinking. However the transformation wears off, leaving Jiren as the winner. After receiving energy from Freeza, Goku is attacked by the Universe 6 female Saiyans Caulifla and Kale. Overwhelmed by Goku's power, the two fuse together to create Kefla. She overpowers his Kaiō-ken-enhanced Super Saiyan Blue form and knocks him unconscious, but Goku manages to awaken Ultra Instinct once again, and manages to eliminate her. After defeating Universes 2, 3 and 4, Goku starts fighting Jiren again, and after the apparent sacrifice of Android 17 and the elimination of Vegeta at the hands of Jiren, awakens Ultra Instinct for the final time and reaches the complete version of it, in which he overpowers Jiren.[citation needed] All of a sudden, Jiren fires an energy blast at the stands housing the eliminated members of the tournament. Goku immediately gets in the way of the attack, and deflects the energy blast away from his friends. Goku then overwhelms Jiren in a fit of rage until succumbing to Ultra Instinct's immense toll as it fades, causing his body to spasm while appearing to be defeated. However, Freeza saves Goku from elimination and Android 17 reveals to have survived his self-destruction attempt, as they team up with only themselves and Jiren left in the ring. Goku and Freeza actually work together to force Jiren out of bounds in a triple elimination, leaving 17 the only warrior standing. After Android 17 uses his wish on the Super Dragon Balls to restore the erased universes, Goku and his team part ways with a fully revived Freeza and return to their "normal" lives on Earth.[53]

In the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Goku and Vegeta encounter another Saiyan survivor named Broly, whom Freeza has recruited to defeat them. When Broly proves to be too powerful for either of them to handle individually, Goku and Vegeta use the Metamorese Fusion Dance, which creates Gogeta (ゴジータ Gojīta), who sports slight visual differences from their previous merger. Gogeta almost defeats his opponent, but Broly's allies Cheelai and Lemo use the Dragon Balls to teleport Broly back to the barren planet he grew up on. Later, Goku teleports to this planet as well to provide Broly, Cheelai and Lemo with Capsule Corp. survival supplies, and states that he'd like to spar with Broly again someday.[54]

However the transformation wears off, leaving Jiren as the winner. After receiving energy from Freeza, Goku is attacked by the Universe 6 female Saiyans Caulifla and Kale. Overwhelmed by Goku's power, the two fuse together to create Kefla. She overpowers his Kaiō-ken-enhanced Super Saiyan Blue form and knocks him unconscious, but Goku manages to awaken Ultra Instinct once again, and manages to eliminate her. After defeating Universes 2, 3 and 4, Goku starts fighting Jiren again, and after the apparent sacrifice of Android 17 and the elimination of Vegeta at the hands of Jiren, awakens Ultra Instinct for the final time and reaches the complete version of it, in which he overpowers Jiren.[citation needed] All of a sudden, Jiren fires an energy blast at the stands housing the eliminated members of the tournament. Goku immediately gets in the way of the attack, and deflects the energy blast away from his friends. Goku then overwhelms Jiren in a fit of rage until succumbing to Ultra Instinct's immense toll as it fades, causing his body to spasm while appearing to be defeated. However, Freeza saves Goku from elimination and Android 17 reveals to have survived his self-destruction attempt, as they team up with only themselves and Jiren left in the ring. Goku and Freeza actually work together to force Jiren out of bounds in a triple elimination, leaving 17 the only warrior standing. After Android 17 uses his wish on the Super Dragon Balls to restore the erased universes, Goku and his team part ways with a fully revived Freeza and return to their "normal" lives on Earth.[53]

In the film Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Goku and Vegeta encounter another Saiyan survivor named Broly, whom Freeza has recruited to defeat them. When Broly proves to be too powerful for either of them to handle individually, Goku and Vegeta use the Metamorese Fusion Dance, which creates Gogeta (ゴジータ Gojīta), who sports slight visual differences from their previous merger. Gogeta almost defeats his opponent, but Broly's allies Cheelai and Lemo use the Dragon Balls to teleport Broly back to the barren planet he grew up on. Later, Goku teleports to this planet as well to provide Broly, Cheelai and Lemo with Capsule Corp. survival supplies, and states that he'd like to spar with Broly again someday.[54]
